I actually discovered this last week when we were trying to use Zoho to open an MDB file. However, I did not report it because I thought it wasn't new, something I probably missed while on vacation.
Anyway, it's new and it's great. Zoho is now allowing users to sign in their Yahoo accounts. This is in addition to the existing feature that uses your Google account. I find this really great because believe it or not, a senior programmer here in the office does not have his Gmail account! So the Yahoo account came in handy. Besides, Yahoo is still the biggest provider of free email in the world.

Zoho today announced that their online word processor Zoho Writer will have fu;; functionality offline.
Earlier this year Zoho introduced the Zoho Writer web application as a viable substitute for MS Word. the online application however had limited offline functionality which incluided viewing and ... actually just viewing (pretty useless). Today's announcement changes all that.
Zoho Writer is now capable of working completely offline through Google Gears. Creating Editing and Reading new documents thorough Zoho Writer Offline works like any other desktop word processor except that when you go online, the files are automatically synchronised in your Zoho account. This feature effectively cuts a couple of steps when backing up files online.

Zoho DB and Reports goes live today taking all other online office providers by surprise.
These past few weeks have been exciting with multiple releases, acquisitions and squabbles in the webtop office space. While Microsoft was busy launching their MS Office Live Workspace, Google their Presentations for Google Docs, IBM their Lotus Office, Yahoo acquiring Zimbra and Adobe buying Virtual Ubiquity, Zoho was under wraps developing and secretly planning to launch a new product which is to be the envy of all their competitors.
Zoho DB is first of its kind in the webtop office space. It's something like MS Access and Excel with a bit of SQL and Crystal Reports. Bascially, it's a fully functional database and reports application available for free online.
